Born in Lisbon, 1978.

Visual arts teacher (secondary education), professor of visual arts didactics (higher education), visual artist and researcher in Arts Education since 2015. 

Graduated in Fine Arts -Painting (2002), Specialist in Arts Education (2005), Master in Visual Arts Teaching (2017), with a PhD Arts Education (2025, University of Lisbon and University of Porto), funded by University of Lisbon in the area of Education, and also supported by FCT in the area of Arts. 

Co-convenor of Network 29 - Research in Arts Education for the annual European Conference on Educational Research (ECER) since 2022.

Research interests focus collective identities, visual culture and critical pedagogies.
