Born in Canada, David moved to Portugal in 2014 where he studied painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon and Literary Studies at NOVA University Lisbon (defending a PhD thesis entitled "Shake-speares Tenth Muse: The Will To Nothing" in 2022). His recent work includes literary translations from Portuguese and film adaptations of poetry and theatre: The Religious Mantle by Nuno Júdice (New Meridian Arts, 2019),Orpheu Literary Quarterly Volumes 1 & 2 (New Meridian Arts 2022), The Seafarer by Fernando Pessoa (2023) Nothing From Nothing, 2024/2025).
