Ana Mestre, born in Lisbon (1978), holds a PhD in “Sustainable Design Innovation” from the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. She is an Assistant Professor in Product Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon, and a Senior Fellow at Loughborough University London. Since 2000, she coordinates and develops research work in the field of Ecodesign and Design for Sustainability, and more recently, in the field of Design for the Circular Economy. She is the coordinator of "Future Worlds Lab" part of CIEBA´s Research Centre.
