Ana Bailão
She completed her PhD in Conservation of Cultural Heritage in 2015 at the Portuguese Catholic University, School of Arts. She obtained a Master's degree in Painting Techniques and Conservation in 2010 from the same institution, and a degree in Conservation and Restoration in 2005 from the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar. She is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon. Since June 2025, she has served as Vice-President of the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon, and is the coordinator of the Heritage Lab at CIEBA/FBAUL within the same institution. She has published more than 70 articles in specialized journals, authored 7 book chapters and 1 book. She reviews for four academic journals (Heritage, Coatings, Ge-Conservación, and Differents). Furthermore, she is the founder of the international colour reintegration "RECH Group" and has organized seven editions of the biannual International Meeting on Chromatic Reintegration of Cultural Heritage, as well as five editions of the biannual Ibero-American Congress "Investigations in Heritage Conservation." She has supervised four doctoral theses and thirty-two master's dissertations, and has received two awards and/or honours. She was also the Principal Investigator for the 3D PAD (Painting Atlas Damage) project
