She holds a PhD (2009/ 2010) in Linguistics applied to an Urban Statuary corpus (University of Porto), and did a Postdoctoral research (2014) in Artistic Studies (University of Lisbon). Former DAAD and ICALP/ Camões I.P. student in the Federal Republic of Germany. She also served as a teacher educator and trainer. She served as Counselor for Education at the Portuguese Embassy in Berlin. Since 1999, she has been involved in the study of Cognitive Linguistics, Semantics and Semiotics, Art and Culture applied to the visual analysis of Urban Statuary corpora.
